We put together this site to help provide information to you about what we are trying to do and how you can become involved - and yes, this is a temporary site.

Here’s a brief history of Collective Giant and where it is today.

Collective Giant really started as a combined effort by Josh McGlinn and Nathan Longbrook, who host Jelly sessions once a week. Jelly is basically a gathering of freelancers and telecommuters who get together once a week and work on individual projects. Sometimes we have break out discussions and sometimes it's just all work. Mostly it comes down to casual collaboration.

With the success of these Jelly sessions, Josh and Nathan decided to take it to the next step and create a permanent coworking space. The idea is not new to North Carolina - there is already one in Carrboro, Asheville, and a new one just announced in Raleigh.
